For over 100 years the Kardos Restaurant has been known for its fine cuisine from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Discover the delicately modern interpretation of the famous Imperial and Royal dishes and the exquisite wines from the former crown lands.​

 

The Kardos family's roots lie in Transylvania. The Kardos family was first mentioned in documents in 1270. In 1903 my grandparents established our tradition of hospitality with a country inn in Lendava located in present-day Slovenia and then part of the Hungarian Kingdom.​

In 1975 my parents Stefan and Rozika Kardos opened the "Restaurant Kardos" in Vienna and ran it for almost 25 years successfully establishing it as the epitome of exquisite dishes from the Austro-Hungarian era.In 2000 my parents handed over the Kardos Restaurant to me. Since then I have been pampering my guests with a lighter and more refined version of Austro-Hungarian cuisine goulash specialties from various countries and exquisite wines.
